Robert "Bob" Sumney, Jr. married Cynthia (Kreinbrink) Sumney Hany (Northrop Class of 1975) in October 1975. They have two children, Shawn Michael Sumney and Kelley Ann (Sumney) Lothamer. They divorced in February 1988. Bob married Janet (Gillie) Sumney (Elmhurst Class of 1976) in April 1988. They had one child, Jessica Dyan Sumney.
Bob was outgoing, fun-loving and enjoyed a wide array of people. He never met a stranger and loved many friends as family. He is dearly missed by his wife and children. Remembering his smile and laughter brings comfort to his family and friends.
